Your Essential Pembroke Travel Guide

So you’re thinking about visiting Pembroke?

Located in Robeson (pronounced Rob-e-son) County, the largest county in North Carolina and one of the most diverse in the nation, Pembroke is a safe, friendly town in a beautiful part of the state. We are about 1.5 hours south of Raleigh, 1.5 hours north of the famous Carolina beaches and two hours east of Charlotte. Click here for directions.

Dining options are plentiful. In addition to many chain and fast food restaurants you may know already, be sure to sample some local southern cooking at Fuller’s BBQ in Lumberton (they have an all-you-can-eat buffet that will make your mouth water).

At UNCP we go out of our way to make visitors feel welcome. Please let us know your interests and duration of your stay, and we’ll help you get acquainted with the University as well as our wonderful corner of North Carolina.
